Mix the first 5 ingredients. Roll the dough out thin. Mix the softened butter, sugar and vanilla; and sprinkle on the dough. Roll the dough, jelly-roll style, and place in an oblong baking pan. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/3 cup flour and sprinkle over the roll. Pour the boiling water over the roll. Bake at 400 until golden brown. Serve hot. It is a bread dessert that is not real sweet.
