Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening till the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the milk and marmalade; stir with fork till a soft dough is formed. Turn out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 1&1/2 or 2&1/2 inch cutter. (depending on the size biscuit you want). Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Using a fork, prick the tops of the biscuits. Bake in 450 F oven for 10 - 11 minutes, or till done. Serve warm.
