Combine 1 cup wine, sugar, orange peel, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining wine. Cool l completely.
Blanch peaches; remove skin and slice.
