Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix in potato chips and pecans. Stir in flour. Divide dough into half; shape in rectangular (2 x 1 x 8 inches) or round rolls (2 inches). Chill until firm. Slice 1/4 inch thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 14 to 16 minutes.
