Cream oil and margarine together, add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yokes and beat well. Combine flour and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture alternating with the buttermilk. Add vanilla, coconut, and nuts. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour batter into 3 well greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes. *****Frosting***** 8 ounces of cream cheese 1/4 cup butter softened 16 ounces powdered sugar 1 t vanilla extract Beat all ingredients together until smooth. Frost the cake and layers and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of nuts and coconut.
