Cook and stir meat and onion in large skillet until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients.
To Cook In Skillet: Heat mixture to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, about 35 minutes. (A small amount of water can be added if necessary.)
To Cook In Oven: Turn mixture into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover and bake in 350' oven, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, 50 to 60 minutes. (A small amount of water can be added if necessary.)
