Rice Pudding
Zutaten für 15  Menge anpassen
die Zutaten:
1/2 x ca. 4 Litermilk
Cinnamon sticks; (up to 5)
Half-dollar sized pieces of lemon peel
16 x ca. 30 gSmall grain white rice
2 Esslöffelbutter
1 Prisesalt
2 DoseEvaporated milk; (12 oz. each)
2 DoseSweetened condensed milk; (14 oz. each)
2 Tassesugar
7 Tassewater
die Zubereitung:

Immerse rice in water and soak over night.

Put first 3 ingredients into a large pot until ingredients come to a boil.

Drain water from soaked rice. Add 7 cups fresh water into another pot with the rice. Stir occasionally over medium heat until rice soaks up all the water (or until mixture ressembles a thick soup).

Pour ingredients from first pot into pot with rice using strainer (to make sure cinnamon sticks and lemon peel does not get in).

Stir in 2 cans of evaporated milk and 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk. Add dash of salt and 2 cups sugar. Stir well. When mixture comes to a boil and rice rises to the top, remove from heat and pour into dessert bowls. Sprinkle some powdered cinnamon on top of each.

Let cool completely. Refrigerate for several hours. Enjoy!
