4 Esslöffel | Unsalted butter; room temp |
8 Scheibe | Day old white bread |
1/2 Tasse | Raisins; soak in Myers's Original dark rum |
1/2 Tasse | Orange marmalade |
1 Tasse | condensed milk sweetened |
4 | eggs |
4 Tasse | milk |
2 Teelöffel | vanilla |
Soak raisins in rum for at least 1 hour. Butter a shallow casserole. Butter bread. Spread each buttered bread slice with orange marmalade. Cut bread diagonally into triangles. Arrange half of the triangles on bottom of casserole dish. Sprinkle with half of the rum soaked raisins. Top with remaining triangles and raisins. In medium bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, condensed milk and vanilla. Let stand at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place casserole in a roasting pan. Add enough water to come halfway up sides of casserole. Bake 50-60 minutes or until tested done. Remove from oven. Cool 10-15 minutes before serving.
