Blend flour, salt and shortening with a pastry blender. Add water and stir with a fork until mixture forms a ball. On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to fit pie plate(s). MAke edges as high as possible. For unbaked pie shell, set aside for filling. For bake pie shell, bake at 350 degrees for 12 min. Do not brown. Remove from oven and cool on rack.
