1/2 Tasse | butter softened |
3/4 Tasse | sugar |

1 | Lemon; zest and juice of |

2 Esslöffel | butter |
1/4 Tasse | Cinnamon Sugar |
Cream the butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add lemon zest to the batter along with 1 tb of the juice. Beat in the flour and salt until it forms a smooth batter.
Peel, core, and thinly dice the apples. Toss with the remaining lemon juice. Butter a 9" springform pan. Pour in the batter and top with the apple slices. Dot the surface generously with the additional butter. Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes, or until the cake pulls away from the sides of the pan. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Let cool on a rack. Serve warm or completely cooled.
