Combine all ingredients (except ribs) and simmer on medium-low heat one hours. Place ribs in flat pan. Pour 3 cups sauce over the ribs and turn to coat. Pierce with fork and marinate, refrigerated, for 8 hours, turning once. Remove from marinade, shake off excess and broil for 10 minutes. Brush with more marinade and broil 5 minutes more.
