3 Tasse | sugar |
3/4 Tasse | corn syrup light |
1/2 Tasse | water |
2 | egg whites |
1 Teelöffel | almond extract |
1 Tasse | nuts chopped |
This is a Divinity recipe that came with my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer.
Place sugar, corn syrup, and water in heavy saucepan. Over medium heat, cook to hard ball stage (248 degrees). Remove from heat and let stand until temperature drops to 220 degrees Without Stirring.
Place egg whites in bowl. Attach bowl and wire whip. Turn to speed 8 and whip until soft peaks form, about 1 minute. Gradually add syrup in a fine stream, about 2 1/2 minutes. Reduce speed to 4 and add almond extract. Continue whipping 20 to 25 minutes or until mixture starts to become dry. Turn to stir speed and add nuts, mixing just until blended.
Drop mixture from spoon onto waxed paper or greased pan to form patties.
