1/4 Tasse | Lemon-lime carbonated beverage (like 7-up; or sprite) |
1/4 Tasse | sherry dry |
1/4 Tasse | soy sauce |
3 Esslöffel | sugar |
3 Esslöffel | white vinegar |
1/2 Teelöffel | garlic powdered |
1/4 Teelöffel | salt |
1/4 Teelöffel | pepper |
2 x ca. 450 g | Sirloin steak; cut into 1" cubes |
2 Tasse | Cherry tomatoes |
2 mittel | Carrots; cut into eighths |
1/2 x ca. 450 g | Fresh mushroom caps |
2 mittel | Size green peppers; cut into 1" pieces |
1 klein | Pineapple; cut into 1" pieces |
Hi everyone!! It's summer (?!) in the United States, so here's one of my favorite grill recipes. It comes from America's Best Recipes (Southern Living). Enjoy!
Combine first 8 ingredients in a large shallow bowl. Add beef cubes, cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove beef cubes from marinade, reserving marinade. Alternately thread beef cubes, tomatoes, onions, mushroom caps, green pepper and pineapple onto skewers. Grill, covered, over medium-hot coals (350 degrees to 400 degrees) 10-12 minutes or to desired degree of doneness, turning and basting occasionally with reserved marinade. Makes 4-5 servings.
