Beat egg whites, sugar, lemon peel & baking powder till smooth. With heavy spoon, work in nuts thoroughly, then flour. Flour your hands, then pinch off tablespoon-sized lumps and shape like small, sturdy bones. Place slightly apart on greased baking sheet and bake at 375 or 10-12 minutes or till pale bown. Cool on wire racks & store airtight. Makes about 3 1/2 doz.
