Preheat oven to 350 degres. Pour oil into a 9- by 13-inch pan to coat the bottom. Add to pan in order: cake mix, water, eggs, pudding mix and chocolate chips. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with a fork. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
