2 Tasse | Wild rice; uncooked |
2 Tasse | chicken broth |
4 Tasse | water |
1 Teelöffel | salt |
2 Tasse | golden raisins |
1/3 Tasse | sherry |
1 Esslöffel | orange rind grated |
1/2 Tasse | orange juice |
1/2 Tasse | Commercial Caesar salad dressing |
1/4 Teelöffel | pepper |
2 | Granny Smith apple; chopped |
1 Bund | green onion sliced |
1 Tasse | Sunflower kernels |
Wash wild rice in 3 changes of hot water; drain. Combine wild rice and next 3 ingredients in a saucepan; bring mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 50 to 60 minutes or until rice is tender; drain, if necessary, and set mixture aside.
Combine raisins and sherry; set aside. Combine orange rind and next 3 ingredients, set aside.
Combine rice, reserved raisin mixture, apple, green onions and sunflower kernels, Add orange rind mixture; toss gently. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Stir before serving.
