2 gross | Celery ribs with tops; cut in thirds |
1 gross | Carrot; scraped, halved |
1 mittel | Onion coarsely chopped |
1 Teelöffel | garlic minced |
1 Teelöffel | salt |
1/8 Teelöffel | black pepper freshly ground |
2 ca. 1 Liter | water |
1 Dose | Spam luncheon meat - (7 oz); cubed |
1 Esslöffel | white vinegar |
In large pot, combine lentils, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and water; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
Place half of lentils and all celery and carrot in food processor or blender; process until pureed. Return to pot. Add Spam to soup. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in vinegar. Mix well before ladling into soup bowls.
