Beat first 9 ingredients well with electric mixer. Mix dates with 1/2 cup flour. Stir dates and pecans into batter. Bake in greased angel food cake pan 60 to 65 minutes at 350°F. Cool. Serve with whipped cream or frost top with cream cheese frosting.
