Mix Sugar, Milk, Choc., Corn syrup and salt. Cookover medium heat stirring constantly, til choc. Is melted and sugar is dissolved.
Cook stirring occasionally to 234 degrees (until it forms a soft ball in a cold cup of water). Remove from heat, add vanilla & margarine. Beat vigorous 5 to 10 min. With spoon until candy is thick & no longer glossy spread in buttered shallow dish.
