Cook macaroni to desired doneness in unsalted water as directed on package. Drain; rinse with hot water. In large skillet, saute hot dogs and onion in margarine or butter until onion is tender. Reduce heat; stir in the soup, cheese and water. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until cheese is melted. Stir in the cooked macaroni; heat thoroughly.
Can substitute alphabet pasta, or animal shape pasta.
